Through designed over 50 years ago by Coco Chanel the little black jacket is still an essential element in every Chanel collection. The little jacket is classic, timeless & ageless through the decades.  This year galleries around the world play host to exhibit honouring this single iconic design.  

Karl Lagerfeld reinvents the spirits of Chanel by capturing hundreds photos of little black jacket worn by famous celebrities.

I wish I am in London at this particular time, so I could visit Little Black Jacket Exhibition and there is this craves in me to own this little piece of fabric and thread that call Little Black Jacket by Chanel. I always a huge fan of Coco Chanel.

This is my most favourite dress, completely breathtaking. 

When I saw it,

 I literally keep whispering to myself...’Ohhhh  goddd... put this dress on me...pls pls..pls’

 I love everything about this dress from the embroidery that almost look like Wedgwood blue lining, the flare skirts & the quarter sleeves. A very simple & sweet look. Perfect!

Channeling Kate Middleton Style in Malaysia ~~Part 2

Catherine Duchess of Cambridge wore Alexander McQueen Gown during official dinner hosted by Malaysia Head of State Sultan Abdul Halim at Istana Negara. Not only do the gown wow!. More than anything though, I was struck by the gold embroidery on the gown.  The glittering gold embroidery actually was done in the shape of a hibiscus the official flower of Malaysia. It's true when they said,  it's the little details that are vital.

Honestly, I'm in love more with her bridal collection. Me being myself I could definitely connect with her designs & might wear one of her bridal collection that full of feminine elements. Oh Gorgeous! *lovey dovey mood*

Raya in Style with Innai Red

The first time I saw Innai Red Raya Collection here in Star Newspaper my jaw literally dropped. OMG! I was & still so in love with their peplum designs on baju kurung. They are such talented & creative designers.  All the pieces look delicate, elegant & classic. The beautiful detailing on each  dress especially on the back & hems make their pieces stand out.

I just came across these two videos ( above & this one ). He is an amazing designer & well known wedding planner Jovian Mandagie ( previous post of his collection here) . Sometimes you just need a little colour in your life. You need to believe in yourself to add self confidence in you. He is very inspiring & makes me believe that with focusing on what you want to do, good heart, hard work & passion, it will make you achieve your dream. Great people inspire us because we all want to achieve greatness in our lives. Most great people are just ordinary people who have set a goal and did what it took to accomplish their goals.

Review : 20 by Rizalman Ibrahim by Tesco

20 by Rizalman Ibrahim for Tesco

When I knew that there will be Raya Collection by Rizalman Ibrahim for Tesco.

Oh dear! I literally was so excited about it.

*happy Macarena dance*

 I’m officially his fan & he is my idol. I think he is a super talented designer. 

So the first week it been launched I went to Tesco Tebrau (JB). I wanted to see I wanted to buy pieces by Rizalman Ibrahim. I’m quite surprised because at that time few rack were already empty & there were only 4 designs of Rizalman Ibrahim Baju Kurung left. 

* Oh, what a hit!*

So I did try few pieces.

But when I tried them,  honestly I am  quite disappointed. They were not as WOW or beautiful as I thought it will be from what I saw through photos on newspaper, YouTube & his blog.

First of all, I wouldn’t think twice to buy it when I look at the fabric. I’m quite disappointed with the fabric itself because it made from jersey. I wonder why Rizalman choose Jersey fabric. To me, it made the collection look cheap plus with the low quality printed on the fabric, the lace & the plastic beading.  

I won’t deny the collection itself just focus on slim, slander & tall women.

 No way I’m close to that. Although I did try Size S but none of it fit me comfortably. This is not a big problem to me because I could alter the baju kurung to make it fit perfectly according to my body. However i don't like  the horizontal patterns on some of the designs because it will make me look shorter & contrasting patterns/colour of the baju kurung’s top & bottom will draw more attention to the fact that I'm short. If you are Miss Shorty like me, read Petite Women Style for some tips what to wear & not to wear. 

So at the end I didn’t buy any of his collection cos I don’t think I would burn my money just for the label. No worries, one day I'll get him to custom made my dress (A girl can dream~~). 
Rizalman Ibrahim no matter what, you are still my idol!

Rizalman Ibrahim Collaborating with Tesco

Owning a piece of local couturier, Rizalman Ibrahim might be a dream for many. However it will be possible this coming Raya given his exclusive collection for Tesco named 20 by Rizalman. Read here if you like to know more.  Oh dear, it’s pretty intimidating to see. I can’t stop smiling! For this collection I can still see that the detailing was not missed. He still played with lots of   lace, ribbons & sequins. I adore all his designs & he is one of the local designers that I would love to meet in person.
